Love your wedding photos; don't hate them!

Too many brides I have spoken with have told me that they "hate" their wedding photos, were disappointed with their photographer or even that the photographer and shooting process made them "hate" their own wedding day!

Your wedding day is too important for you not to be totally happy at the celebration with your photographer(s) and thrilled with your photos, albums, etc. when you share them later with friends and family.

In this blog, I'll be writing about subjects like: how to select the best photographer for you; hair and makeup for the best photos; how is your smile? what style do you want-formal. traditional, photojournalistic?

Let me know what you'd like to talk about and we'll go on from there!

Loved yor photographs! They really capture the moment...
Question - I'm planning my wedding. Will my album look good with both formal photographs and more casual shots? Do I have to stick to one kind of look?

It takes some creativity to combine the two styles but it definitely can be done well--just be sure to ask the photographer ahead of time.

An alternate could be, for example, to make a formal, leather album--traditional white with gold or silver trim. Then put all the more "informal" images in a smaller album or coffee table, bound book. How about a DVD slide show, too as part of your package of memories.

Thanks. That's a great solution. I like the DVD slideshow idea. Can I use my own music or will I have to choose from a limited nunber od songs?

Select your favorite music genre and the photographer will source the music for you. Be flexible because most music is copyrighted. Copyright laws protect musicians and songwriters! You'd have to pay a lot of $$$ for the right to use copyrighted music. There are sites where music is available for downloading in a "commercial" situation.

However, if you create the DVD yourself for personal use only, you can download any music.
